“Sekai Camera retrieves your current location via iPhone’s Core Location function. Core Location measures your location by combining 1) GPS, 2) WiFi access point, and 3) Cell phone base station. Therefore, location accuracy depends on the environment. The following elements may cause location inaccuracy:

  • WiFi on your device is turned off. Even if you are not using WiFi connections, you will experience higher location accuracy when your WiFi is turned ON.
  • GPS reception is bad (it can happen when you are indoors, or in areas with tall buildings). Also, if you are in areas where there are no available WiFi access points for example, location information will be provided by cell phone base stations, which may not be as accurate.”
